Overview Of IASMS Research Committee

The IASMS Research Cell is pivotal in fostering a strong research culture within the institution, reinforcing its academic mission in management education. The Research Cell encourages students and faculty to engage in meaningful research and development activities by advancing knowledge that enriches classroom learning. It promotes participation in seminars, workshops, and conferences while facilitating interactions with academicians and industry experts.

With access to a fully automated library housing research journals, e-journals, and project reports, IASMS ensures a well-supported research environment. Additionally, the institution contributes to the academic community through the IASMS Journal of Business Spectrum, a bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal (ISSN: 0974-8016), further strengthening its commitment to research excellence.

IASMS aims to be a center of excellence in research and scholarship, offering strategic leadership and comprehensive support to faculty, graduate students, and the broader community.

Mission

To enhance the research profile of IASMS by fostering a dynamic and supportive research environment. The Research Cell actively promotes and facilitates scholarly work through strategic initiatives, workshops, seminars, and collaborative opportunities, empowering faculty, graduate students, and the broader community to engage in meaningful research and innovation

Functions of the Research Committee

The RC aims to support and promote research and research training within and outside the college. Members of the RC are required to play a proactive role in creating a research environment in the College. The committee will endeavor to foster research within the college and encourage members of staff to apply for research grants. Some of the

Specific aims include:

  • To encourage, maintain and support research activities
  • To monitor the quality of research
  • To organize seminars and workshops on Research Methodology for students and faculty
  • Motivate faculty to publish research work in quality journals
  • Encourage both faculty and teachers to participate in National/International Seminars and conferences.
  • To facilitate peer review of research works and enable their publication in reputed journals
  • To appraise the faculty members and the students of the latest developments in research.
  • To prepare proposal and apply to funding agencies that encourage research activities

Aims of IASMS Research Cell

  • Promote and Support Research – Encourage and sustain research activities among faculty and students.
  • Ensure Research Quality – Monitor and uphold the standards of research conducted within the institution.
  • Facilitate Knowledge Sharing – Organize seminars and workshops on research methodology for faculty and students.
  • Encourage Scholarly Publications – Motivate faculty to publish research in reputed journals and participate in national/international conferences.
  • Secure Research Funding – Assist in preparing proposals and applying for grants from funding agencies.
